What happens When you try to play one of the most high end video games out today on an old 700 MHZ athlon running only 256 MB of SDRAM… no your computer does not explode…

I recently purchased a XFX Geforce 5200x w/ 128 MB DDR Graphics card from tigerdirect for $50 (after rebates). So I thought let me put this sucker to the test. I obtained some Nvidia Forceware tweaking tools such as Riva Tuner so I could totally tamper with the Video Card. I was hell bent on making this game work. I even asked for help on the Nvidia forums.. of course I didn't tell them that I was running a 700 Mhz athlon!!! or else they would have told me to get lost….

In the beginning this is how far I could get: (click on images to see the full size)

notice how all text was not rendering properly. Also the screen would black out whenever you would click on something.

After messing with Riva Tuner for a few days I was able to run the game ONCE and I took screen shots to prove it:

After that I gave up. Inshallah some day I will be able to upgrade my cpu. Till then I will abuse this athlon till I kill it.

P.S Halo and Counter Strike 1.6 work perfectly, but since I changed my video card from Ati to Nvidia Counter Strike Condition Zero has stopped working
