Evil Niqabi Wrestling Manager in TNA

shotout to Haseeb for sending this video to me.

When she says Kong is a woman of peace, I hear the parallel: Islam is a Religion of Peace. Obviously Kong is a violent monster, so does this subtly imply that Islam is a religion of violence?

When I showed this video to my wife.. she asked why her eyebrows were all done up. Only a female would come up with that observation.

This is not the first time A Arab/Muslim Bad guy has been used in wrestling. We all remember the Iron Sheikh, and more recently Muhammad Hassan.

This just further shows that ignorant and racist attitudes still exist all across our country. Wrestling is a very American “entertainment sport” which gets millions of viewers.

Some youtube commenters asked why is she dressed up like a ninja? Well she is wearing something called Niqab. Which is a face veil. She is also wearing all black which is popular/standard in some Muslim countries. If you are wondering what the Islamic position is on the face veil.. the answer is.. it is disputed if it is a requirement for all Muslim women or if covering the entire body except for the hands and face is the requirement.

The truth is amongst the female companions of prophet Muhammad (S) both practices are found. Amongst the companions they also differed on it being a requirement. There are clear hadith which mention that a woman must cover everything except for her face and her hands, so we know that is a bare minimum requirement. There are verses of the Qur’an which are pointed to when people promote Niqab as being obligatory. Others would argue that those verses if taken in their context are directly related to the wives of the prophet (only).

The best resource I have found on the topic is the website http://www.muhajabah.com/niqab-index.htm The sister running the site has done a great job at compiling opinions from both sides of the spectrum. It is additionally interesting that she herself has adopted the veil, but according to her study believes it is not obligatory on all Muslim women. That shows that she is not biased against it, but has objectively come to that conclusion.

I personally believe that sisters living in the west should wear clothing which is covering, but at the same time non-threatening. When people hide their face, many tend to relate that with people with bad intentions. In the U.S. wearing all black can seem grim or even goth-like. I’m not saying to wear hot pink hijabs, but try some neutral colors which make you seem approachable. I once saw a sister in all black with Niqaab pushing a bright yellow H3 Hummer which to me seemed like a stark contradiction in purpose.

  1. Is Kong a Man or Woman?

  2. I think she went to Gersh with you, ha

  3. That was really weird!

  4. “Shukran..jazeelan…yalla” ha.
Yea on point analysis, though i dont see what is threatening about a woman who wears niqab.

I understand how this society prizes openness, etc. but non-Muslims need to learn to respect the choice of women to adopt the veil or not.

  5. “so does this subtly imply that Islam is a religion of violence?”

    Subtly? It’s very obvious brother!
Her overemphasis on ‘what I will do to you if you mess w/me’ shows that :

‘Yea, Muslims come in peace, but in actually, if you given ‘em a tiny finger cut, expect all hell to break loose’

“Obviously Kong is a violent monster, so does this subtly imply that Islam is a religion of violence?”

Actually, quite the opposite. The fact that Kong is so mute, while Rieesha is so outspoken and covered shows that she is stronger than Kong; the fact that Kong needs Rieesha to speak for her shows she is ‘the man’, the ‘genius’ behind Kong. So Kong looks ‘purer’ than Rieesha, uncovered in a gladiator costume.

As for eyebrows, a female notices them because all females are ‘pressurized’ to do them, just as some men are pressurized’ to do shave and have a trim NEAT beard, be a success, etc. :)

All Black is intimidating; can you imagine her (Sr. Rieesha Saeed) giving the same speech in all sunny yellow niqab?

Wearing a lot of black is associated with formality, OR a gothic expression. Marilyn Manson doesn’t wear yellow
    :)
    ODB? Old Dirty Bastard?

This thread was about hijab, and not surprisingly so went into tangent on niqab–S-U Vs. A-U :)

But this time, I was Kong and he was Niqabi.
