TNA Brings back anti-American Arab gimmick

I had written on my blog before about the WWE rehashing the ARAB Bad Guy Gimmick. Well now TNA is doing it.

As if having a bad guy Niqabi manager wasn’t enough. The twist here is that “Sheikh Abdul Basheer” (formerly Davari in WWE) says that he’s an American and loves his country, but then double talks with vehement anti-American rhetoric. The problem I have with this picture is it subtly implies that middle-easterners (or the other if you will) will never be truly American, and you should always be suspicous of them, especially when they say anything critical.

People never get tired of this crap. And of course you need an American Hero to talk down the Foreign bad guy:

RVD Impersonates Ultimate Warrior

Wow Two of my favorites… I think this impersonation is pretty good. Turns out they are training together. Warrior is getting ready for his match with the Italian Wrestling Promotion in his official return to the ring. And I guess RVD is trying to prevent becoming rusty in case he ever decides to make a come back.

Never heard of NWE till the Warrior decided to return to Wrestling. When he was shaking those ropes, it looked like he was having a heart attack. Then again back in the day when he did it, it looked like he was having a seizure. They bring him back to rough up Orlando Jordan? Pretty weird.

RVD- One of a Kind DVD Review

I think RVD is one of the most creative wrestlers ever. And now a comprehensive 6 hour DVD has been made to document this fact. How many wrestlers have you seen leap across from one corner of the ring to the other? RVD trained as a kick boxer and as a wrestler. Add in a dash of acrobatics, and gutsy risk taking the result is Rob Van Dam. WATCH THIS clip and tell me he is not amazing.
